We seek a full-time human resources coordinator to join our team in the Greater Darwin Area. The HR Coordinator role will involve overseeing and handling the following responsibilities:


Recruitment

  • Develop and post job advertisements on relevant platforms.
  • Screen CV and applications for suitability
  • Coordinate and conduct interviews with potential candidates.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and position requirements.
  • Manage job offers and direct onboarding processes for recruits.
Rostering
  • Create and manage staff rosters, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  • Address rostering issues, ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times.
  • Coordinate with various departments to accommodate leave requests, peak periods, and other scheduling concerns.
  • Utilise rostering software or systems in place to optimise scheduling processes.
Employee Liaison
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, or issues.
  • Facilitate communication between management and employees, ensuring transparency and clarity.
  • Assist in resolving disputes or misunderstandings within the workforce.
  • Assist in conducting exit interviews and provide feedback to management.
General HR Duties
  • Maintain and update employee records in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
  • Stay informed on fair work laws and industry best practices to ensure company compliance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • General day-to-day admin tasks

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience in HR or a related role, focusing on recruitment and rostering.
  • Strong understanding of fair work legislation and employment regulations.
  • Proficiency with any HR software, especially rostering and recruitment tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based in Darwin but may require occasional visits to company branches interstate.
