We seek a full-time human resources coordinator to join our team in the Greater Darwin Area. The HR Coordinator role will involve overseeing and handling the following responsibilities:
- Develop and post job advertisements on relevant platforms.
- Screen CV and applications for suitability
- Coordinate and conduct interviews with potential candidates.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and position requirements.
- Manage job offers and direct onboarding processes for recruits.
- Create and manage staff rosters, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Address rostering issues, ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times.
- Coordinate with various departments to accommodate leave requests, peak periods, and other scheduling concerns.
- Utilise rostering software or systems in place to optimise scheduling processes.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, or issues.
- Facilitate communication between management and employees, ensuring transparency and clarity.
- Assist in resolving disputes or misunderstandings within the workforce.
- Assist in conducting exit interviews and provide feedback to management.
- Maintain and update employee records in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Stay informed on fair work laws and industry best practices to ensure company compliance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- General day-to-day admin tasks
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum three years of experience in HR or a related role, focusing on recruitment and rostering.
- Strong understanding of fair work legislation and employment regulations.
- Proficiency with any HR software, especially rostering and recruitment tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise and multitask.
- Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach.
- Primarily office-based in Darwin but may require occasional visits to company branches interstate.
